That's awesome Becky! Yes, time for yourself is incredibly important. I imagine that having seven kids can make finding it incredibly difficult. I'm glad you're able to find moments of quiet.

With seven kids and a small house, my world is full of clutter, movement and chaos. As a result I rarely get the chance to sit and let the ideas flow.

I'm making a point to take that time for myself every evening right now, once the smaller of my kids are in bed.

And I used to strive for perfection and I would wind up not producing anything, because I was afraid of not meeting my standards for perfection. Now I'm doing NaNoWriMo and letting go of my need for my writing to be perfect has really freed me. I've written more than ever before and the ideas have been really flowing as a result.

Exactly Logos, I've wasted so many great ideas because I wanted them to be perfect, or for the perfect conditions to be present. It doesn't matter if the idea is half baked, or if we're scared to leave our job we hate because it's the recession.

Let's all start simply doing things now!

Not waiting for all to be perfect is a very good point Everett. Often people like things to be that way before beginning but nothing will ever be perfect so it is best to realise that you are good enough to start from where you are now.
